That's when this gal is going to make an appearance in my etsy shop..
I thought I might hold off and make a cupcake boy to offer at the same time.
But now I'm thinking of nothing except that Mike just emailed me to tell me a few people got laid off at his office and everyone else is being asked to take a pay cut. HOpefully only for a few months.
I'm thankful that he still has his job and worried for those who don't.
I'm looking to my little cupcake girl as a reminder to find something to celebrate each day. :)

thanks, elma. :)
prints available soon.
Love this, and so sorry about your husband. Hope it doesn't last long. I wanted to write to encourage you to do more boys. I have a son, and your art would perfectly compliment his nursery. However, my husband would kill me if I hung pictures of cute little girls in there. LOL.
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute! I hope all goes well for your husband in this scary economy.
ReplyDeleteI really like the black and white detail. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI really, really like her. I also have a Kreativ Blogging award for you. Come to my blog and paste it onto yours along with a list of 7 things you love... (If you want!) x
ReplyDeleteSooo very sweet, Diane. I'm not a bit surprised that someone already snapped her up.
ReplyDelete:-)
She's cute! How are you Di? I haven't been to visit in a while and I apologize for that. It has been a typical winter with illness after illness...you know how it is when the boys go to school. :o) Hope all is well. Gotta go and read older posts now. Trying to get caught up!
ReplyDeleteAww, she is very cute! Great idea to make a boy too. I have heard comments about not finding art with boys on them also. Yours is the second blog I have read tonight about cutbacks at their husband's work. Good luck with everything. I hope things look up soon for everyone!
ReplyDeleteRead you blog and it reminded me that I just sold a work last week only to have the poor woman come back the next day to tell me she was just laid off. Scary times, but your little work says it all.. find something to celebrate each day. It is a great way to live.
ReplyDeleteHappy Creating Diane!
Laurie
PS If you have time, I have an award for you on my site!
ReplyDeleteI am not surprised she sold right away. She's adorable. Sorry to hear about the cutbacks at work, but in today's financial climate I guess it is happening more and more. Thank goodness he still has a job and you have your wonderful little art business. (((hugs)))
ReplyDeleteSorry to here about your husband, we are in the same position too, my husband has just been told they are having to work a 4 day week for the next 3 months at least instead of the usual 5 days.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed that the situation gets better for all of us.
Micki x
Diane...your cupcake girl is adorable! :)
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your husband's company. I am thankful he still has his job. It's sad and scary, but better them reduce their costs than drive it into the ground, ya know? And hey! Citigroup actually made a profit the last two months, and the stocks are going up, so there is still hope! :)
You all will be fine...especially with your paintings selling in like, a second. :)
Hugs to yoU! :)
Mere
P.S. I just saw your line about smiling...made me laugh! Thanks! How very ELF of you! :)
