So, I'm a mom who tends to get attached to the girls that my boys bring home. I'm not talking about Mike. He doesn't really bring girls home...anymore. :) Just kidding. Although one did bring him home the other night. Thanks again Ashley!
Anyway, Eli's Taylor has a Halloween birthday coming up so I've been sketchin' up some masked mermaids in her honor.
But now she went and got herself a perm so I may have to adjust the hair a bit.
She's also made a special request that I paint her sister a lighthouse.

But that would be boring, so I've added a pretty little girl into the mix.
So these will probably keep me busy most of the week.
I do still have all of last week's originals available though if you are looking for something for the girls in your life. :)
I've listed "I CAn't live Without You" over on ebay. Just to test the waters there again.
But it's still in my etsy shop too for the time being.
It seems that I've been spending every minute of computer time these days searching for home decorating inspiration.
Ever since we got the new rugs I'm desperate to pick the perfect paint colors for our main living area. I love all colors which makes it really hard for me.
This really tempting me right now. The colors are just gorgeous!
And, well, this site is just riddled with inspiration. Maybe, too much. I think I'm more confused than ever.
Oh well, wish me luck. I'll let you know how it turns out.
Your girls are so charming. I also have to include some sort of character in my paintings. I don't think I could just do a lighthouse either. Well, best of luck to you on your decorating! Can't wait to hear how things turn out. I'm sure it will be fabulous. Just follow your instincts.
ReplyDeleteLucky girls to have you make them a special picture!! WOW that would be fabulous!! I just adore the lighthouse one and that girl is gorgeous!!!

ReplyDeleteSooo pretty! I love your girls - they are fabulous ;)
ReplyDeleteLove your girls as always Di. I think it's funny that you and I both do our sketches on lined paper. I have tried on plain, but lined always works best for me. I think it's so neat that we are both like that!!
ReplyDeleteNice sketches! I'm sure they will be great paintings :)
ReplyDeleteI always love to see sketches! I love the little mask.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the girlfriends become attached to you too:)
Tracy
You are so talented and one of my favorite artists!
ReplyDeleteSo, um, in the interest of full disclosure, I just wanted to let you know that I copied one of your paintings. Sort of. But NOT for selling purposes! I'm learning to paint and your girls inspire me, so I adapted one to my home. I blogged about it and gave your etsy shop & blog some free advertising.
I hope you don't mind. You can see it at http://mudblossom.blogspot.com/2009/10/projects-projects-projects.html
Thanks!
