This old thing...

I thought I had better drop in and at least show you guys what I'm working on. You know, so you don't forget about me.
I've been busy printing and packing orders this week and it seems that's all I can get done.
I hope to get this finished and listed today, but I'm having my doubts. As you can see, she still needs her lipstick and mascara. She needs to pull her hair back with a ribbon and throw on some jewelry. Oh, she's not at all ready!

As for me, I have to head out to the grocery store soon to get the ingredients for veggie pizza. You know, the kind with the cresent rolls and cream cheese. Yum. Eli requested it and he rarely asks for any veggie related dish so I thought it best to comply.
So grocery store, make veggie pizza, and Aaron has a show tonight. So yeah, not lookin' good for this girl.

We are having Thanksgiving dinner at my parent's, of course. And then off to Virginia friday morning.
I'm leaving my Etsy shop open, but after today I won't be able to ship until Tuesday.

Okay, better go. If I don't get the time to stop in tomorrow have a very, very, Happy Thanksgiving.

I came up to get a shower, but somehow ended up over at Zazzle making Christmas cards and such.

Little Prince

I did add the text. Thanks for the advice.
I can't seem to get an accurate scan. The colors looked washed out on yesterdays scan.
And still not quite right.

Anyway, I'm tempted to keep this one. I just love him.
But, he'll probably show up in my shop. Soon. :)

I really need to get in the shower. Must head to the post office.
It's hoagie day again for Eli's hockey team. That means us picking them up and delivering them to the Ice Garden.
Then we have to go drop the car off to get the transmission fluid changed.
Then Aaron, Jesse, Jesse's mom, and me will be heading out for the midnight showing of New Moon. :0

Here's what I've been working on all day.
I've been planning on making a "She Believed" calendar for a while now, but it took someone requesting it to light a fire under my butt.
It's in my Zazzle shop now. And, I already sold one...(and not to myself if that's what you think.) :)

I was beginning to realize that I probably was not going to get a Pretty Faces calendar done anyway.
Next year. I promise.
Hope this will act as a satisfactory replacement.

This and that

Before heading out to Eli's hockey game last night (1.5 hours away with a start time of 9PM!) I managed to finish up another Christmas painting.

I was looking at it this morning and realizing that the deer had antlers and was wearing a dress. Is that right?
Well I googled it and luckily for me the ONLY kind of female deer that does have antlers is a reindeer. perfect!
I'll be listing it sometime today I think, but first it's Tuesday and that means groceries. :(

And about that hockey game...big win for us! Rams are now 6 - 1 and Eli managed to get 3 points last night. One goal and two assists! His skating is getting better all the time and when we have a big lead like that he gets more ice time. So, yay!

Oh yeah, here's another thing. The football field at the high school is all covered with big white tents. Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway are filming portions of their new movie Love and Other Drugs in the area. I knew they were filming in Pittsburgh but was surprised when Eli told us they were set up at the school. And then to see all the tents when were leaving town for the game... Pretty cool.

And lastly, we are all starting to get excited about Thanksgiving at our house. We will be eating dinner at my mom's as usual, but then we'll all be heading down to Virginia Friday morning to visit with Mike's brother and his family. All 12 of us! I hope they're ready! We can't wait!

I was never quite happy with my happy bunny girls face. I decided maybe she needed to open her eyes.

Now she looks like this.
Maybe not quite as happy but prettier, I think.
I also added a little pink heart and some real live stitchin'.
She's in my shop.

Okay, let's see, what's next on the list?

I stuck with the name "Really, Mom?" and added it to my shop.

Other possible names include
"Are we having fun yet?"
or
"Now what?"

I'm editing this in an effort to make it fit the IF theme of Unbalanced.
These two might lose their balance (and thus be unbalanced) IF THEY COULD MOVE!

Christmas critters In my shop today!

Here they are on a very old quilt.

Here they are on the wall in my nook/very tiny studio. (which now that I look at it can use a bit of paint touch-up too. gah! does it ever end?)

It's really hard to get computer time when your kids have the day off from school.
But that's good because I finally finished these cuties up. They kept getting put aside for house painting, grocery shopping, and, well, just life in general. But I just love how they turned out.
They are small...about 5.5" x 3.25" each...but when you hang them together they are about the same size as one of my regular paintings. Or, they are pretty light weight so if you have sturdy tree branches you might even be able to use them as ornaments.
Anyway, you'll be able to look at individual pictures of them here in just a bit.

Speaking of Christmas, I officially started my shopping on Tuesday. I bought about $10 worth of stocking stuffers. CAn I be done? :)

Where I've been

Painting my living room, that's where.
Finally picked a color that was faaaaaaaar away from the robins egg blues we were looking at. We chose Caraway Seed.
Loved the blues, but they just weren't cozy enough for us. Plus I think this color will go great with so many other colors... reds, pinks, blue...

It looks kinda brownish here, but has a more goldish/greenish look in real life.

I heart it, but wish I was better at taking pictures. And that my batteries wouldn't die every time I try to.
(oops, need to add a new word to my scrabble tile holder)

You can see a bit of the old yellow in this picture of Aaron from last December.
So that's where I've been and why no art has been created for the last few days.
Hope to get a few things done to offer before we start painting the dining room.
Don't ask me why we always start these things at the busiest time of year. :(

Cleaning

Had a great Halloween weekend and hope you did too.
Mike stayed home today. He's busy cleaning the bathroom while I clean our bedroom.
I just took a break to list my angel painting and now he's gone and stolen 1/2 of my cleaning supplies. :(

I'm anxious to get the bedroom done because we bought a few more sample size paints to test in the living room. It's already sportin' the original yellow, a bit of linen color, very light blue, and a darker yellow/gold. Hopefully we can make the final choice today and get on with it already!

Okay, back to cleaning.
