Sorry, I've not been around.
Still recovering from the wisdom teeth removal.
Thought it was going to be a piece of cake at first. Felt pretty good on Wednesday and Thursday. More pain these last two days...now that the healing's begun I guess. I just hope my pain pills don't run out before the pain does. :)
It's not so bad really. Mike's not had much work since Christmas which is bad, but good that he's been here to take care of me. He's also helping me clean up my next batch of Sugar Nellie stamps using Adobe Illustrator. Kind of like he's my assistant or something. ;)
Also I have the best mom and neighbors who have kept me well-stocked with Chicken Soup. Yum!
I'd hoped to get more done in the way of VAlentine's day art, but have been using my "couch-time" to read my new Eugene Mirman book, "The Will to Whatevs". Way funny!
Hoping to check in soon with some new artwork. Stay tuned.
I'd call your dentist/oral surgeon about your increase in pain, Diane! I don't think that's a normal part of the healing process. If it's getting worse you may have a "dry socket" or four: http://www.dentalgentlecare.com/dry_socket.htm. Doctors usually have a way to get in touch with someone even on the weekends. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks SO much for my beautiful, new painting (that I will look forward to receiving for my birthday in October) and for my special surprise! I felt all warm and fuzzy just looking at them.
I am tuned in...hope you'll feel back to yourself soon.
ReplyDeleteHope the pain goes away and you start feeling better!! Elma
ReplyDeleteDiane, I had just one impacted tooth removed last year, and I know what your going through, BUT I only had one removed. I can't even imagine having more than one at the same time. Hope you feel better soon :)
ReplyDeleteOuch! Hope everything goes back to normal soon! :o)
ReplyDeleteYou poor soul, not fun!!! Hope you get well really soon!!!

Just had 3 out about a monthe ago, i had mine done at one time too, so I know what your going through. Just take the meds, get more if you need to. It was uncomfortable, but honestly what is worse is having to make sure that no food gets trapped in the gaps, especially while your gums are so sensitive, I suggest getting a syringe to flush all the particles out. I got something trapped in the back and it hurt for an additional 2 days until I filled a regular house hold squirt bottle with water to get the particles out. Just letting you know, what works because no one told me. I wish ya a speedy recovery :)All the best, Michele
ReplyDeleteI had one out this week as well, but not four, you poor dear! I hope you feel better soon. You should call the dentist though, and make sure you don't have a dry socket. xxoo
ReplyDeleteSorry about your pain. Hope it goes away soon. I still have to get mine all out. ugh If it makes you feel any better I have an extra set, so I have to get 6 removed in total. Maybe I'm very wise. lol
ReplyDeleteFeel Better,

Hey Di! Hope you're feeling better soon!

Hi Diane!
ReplyDeleteSorry about the tooth thing. I never grew wisdom teeth (believe it or not), but I've made up for it with lots and lots of other dental experiments.
It's been a while since I stopped by--I'm liking your new stuff!

I had all four of mine removed at the same time too. My pain too, increased. But it was due to a problem. Two of them "dry socketed" causing severe pain. He had to re-pack them and give me another pain pill prescription. So it wouldn't hurt to give your DDS a call.
