Just sitting here printing out some frog-related prints for an order that has to go out today.
Aren't polka-dot trees the best?
Gingham ones might be nice too, I'm thinking. Hmmmm.
Anyway, this weekend didn't really go as planned.
Josh turned 14 on Friday. (that did go as planned. there's really no stopping something like that.)
He got a new 12 string guitar from us which made him quite happy.
Friday evening brought with it high winds that were just too much for one of our "seen-better-days" backyard trees to bear.
Mike was out back putting down the umbrella...he heard a crack...the next thing he knew the tree was on the ground.
Good thing it wasn't a few feet taller or it would have got him.

Luckily it fell just right and no damage was done.
Josh did get his Eat 'n Park breakfast on Saturday morning, but the pizza and pumpkin pie party planned to celebrate his and my mom's birthday had to be cancelled. Seems she has the intestinal flu that she's now passed on to my dad. :(
So those two are still owed a party.
Sunday morning was spent helping my sister-in-law clean up after this.
A much bigger tree (from 2 yards away!) made a crash landing on her back porch during the aforementioned storm. She was not quite so lucky as us. This is what she came home to after work on Friday.

Along with the porch, repair work is needed in the kitchen and two bedrooms.

Needless to say, she can't stay there while the repairs are being made.
Not fun!

We're just glad that no one was home. Except for the poor dog, Molly, who was cowering in the basement.
But she's fine.
On the bright side, the Penguins are winning again! Eli and Taylor went to game two.
Eli's day/life were made when Craig Adams called him over to his car after the game to sign his "I HEART CRAIG ADAMS" sign.
I'll have to take some pictures of him with it.
Okay, back to printing.
Happy Tuesday!
Go Pens!!!
Oh, I almost forget! I also discovered Treasury East this weekend and can't get enough!!!

Well that is good that the tree that fell at your house missed. But sad for your sister-in-law...that it didn't. Yikes!!

Love the art piece, but hated to see the damage done to your sister-in-laws house. Nice you were able to help her out!!
