Fiona and Duhgall

I haven't been doing many commissioned pieces lately. I'd like to. I just always feel instant dread as soon as I say yes. I don't know why. I've never had any bad experiences. Nothing to base this feeling on. Just me being irrational.

Anyway, I did accept this one and am so glad I did.
I painted it back in March. It was a Mother's Day gift from one of my blogging friends to one of her blogging friends, so I couldn't share it here until now.
Word is both "giver" and "getter" were happy with it. And that makes me happy. :)

Feeling a bit sad about the Pens loss last night, but excited about it being Prom Eve!
Hoping the rain will stop by tomorrow morning. Soggy or not, I'll be sure to share photos over the weekend.
Have a nice Thursday.

  6. Anytime I have done commissions I totally have that dread also! I don't know why? Maybe because you are not doing what you want but what someone else wants?? Not sure.

Your piece is very cute...her dress and those shoes CUTE!

  9. Diane, I have been wanting one of your paintings for quite some time. I first saw what Tina (Cherry Hill) had bought from you and then Jean's painting you did for her melted my heart. I was SO SURPRISED to have received my very own painting from our sweet friend, Miss Jean. It captures our babies so sweetly.

Thank you so very, very much!
