This Time

As in, I won't let it get away this time.

Hope everyone had a lovely Mother's DAy. I know I did. The "one that I didn't let get away" made sure of it.
I opened my gifts with my boys all around. (many gifts Penguin related, of course) Aaron made pancakes for all while Mike made me a yummy omelette that everyone ended up sharing.

It was quite cold here yesterday, so I opted to skip our 3 mile walk. I know, that's bad. Especially since I nibbled on quite a few chocolates too. But we did take a walk down to the pond while we were out visiting my Mom. She's not been feeling great lately. She's having pain in her legs that is so bad it's keeping her up at night. They've done some tests and can't find anything yet. She's seeing an orthopedist this week, so hopefully he can help her.

Back at home, Mike grilled some shrimp for our shrimp taco dinner. And lastly, we watched The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus which was so wonderfully strange! And all 4 of my very favorites were in it! Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and JUDE LAW!!!
Perfect!

Oh yeah, I snuck some painting in too. :)

How did you spend your day?

  1. Diane,
She is so cute! I gave the print I got from you to my Sissy for Mother's day...(We are each other's Mother now) and she loved it. It totally reminded me of us - she's blonde and I'm a redhead (currently:-)
So that made our Mother's day special. Then out to a huge breakfast at our favorite place in Town called Calico Cupboard with all five of my darling babies and My sweet Craig and my sissy.

    Lovely day.

Thanks for sharing anther great piece with us. Glad you had such a great Mother's Day!

I really hope your mama is much better soon!

  5. Love this newest piece! I have not seen that film. I am going to have to watch it. I love Johnny Depp! He is always terrific.
I had a wonderful champagne brunch hosted by my neighbor and good friend. It was so fabulous.
Then I relaxed the rest of the day.

  9. Hi Diane!
I just caught up with your blog. I can't tell you how much I'm enjoying the goodies you sent with my wonderful print! The extra print you sent...the one with the pink polkadoted dress...my Madeline has one JUST like it! It is her even down to her hair! So sweet of you! Thank you!

I hope things are going better for you now, and if not yet, soon. You are an inspiration though, because your paintings are still positive and cheerful- that is a sign of a strong woman who can get through anything! :)

    Hugs to you! :)
