Yeesh!

I had a way harder time getting back into the swing of things than I thought I would.
But finally I've got a new painting to share. Oddly enough, it didn't come from any of my lake sketches, but I do hope you like her.

I've named this painting "Charmed" and she will be showing up in my etsy shop within the hour.

That whole flu thing I thought I was getting over on Monday reared it's ugly head again on Wednesday. Stayed in bed most of the day and accomplished absolutely nothing.

I woke up in a bit of a panic this morning, realizing that our cobra payments are going to triple next month. I was thinking we had another month to prepare, but no. With no full time job in sight for Mike, I guess we are going to have to look for alternative insurance because $1200 a month just seems crazy. All this at the time Eli should be getting his braces on in preparation for next years jaw surgery. We really don't want to put it off again.

Also I think the fridge is on the verge of death. Threw out another gallon of milk this morning. Yes, we haven't been drinking as much, but it's feeling a bit warm in there to me. Must investigate that further today before we lose any more food.

So those are today's worries. Also trying to decide whether to make the trip to VA with Aaron, Taylor, and Mike in the morning.
Aaron's doing a solo show at his Uncle Mark's restaurant tomorrow night. I hate to miss it, but someone needs to stay home with Ruca and I do hate that 4 hour ride. We'll see.

Anyway, that's what's on my mind, and on my desk, and soon to be in my shop. :)
Happy FRiday! Hope it's worry-free.

  2. LOVE LOVE LOVE the froggy balloons, I have to say i'm a little bit partial to drawing animals as balloons myself, but for some reason with me it's usually sea creatures ;)

I hope your fridge is ok, they are ridiculously expensive to replace, our last one cost a fortune, we are also feeling the pinch here too with hubby being on 90% wages things are tight to say the least, fingers crossed for us both x

  3. Love it. Reminds me of Shrek, the first one, where they blew up the balloons for each other. Hope things look up for you very soon.

  15. Wonderful piece!

Been there with the ridiculously high COBRA payments - a quick way to burn through savings, and in the end, my husband had to take the first (seriously underpaid) thing that came along just for the health insurance...Sending up prayers your husband will find something wonderful, and the fridge will hold out a little longer. :)
