The Secret Revealed

Seems like forever that I've been talking about that secret something that couldn't be announced until summer.
Well it's summer! And I just got the go ahead to spread the word!
I am so proud, happy, ecstatic to present The Diane Duda Collection for Demdaco!
Didn't they do a wonderful job!
Some of them look just like the originals:

With others they played "paper dolls", mixing and matching bodies and heads.

There are 6 figures:

9 Shadowboxes:

And 10 pieces of "Wall Art":

Big thanks to all of the girls at Demdaco that made this such an easy thing to do. Actually I did nothing. I just got to sit back and say "Yep, that looks good!".
That's really all I've got for now.
The only place that I've seen them (online) where they are available for preorder is here.
I'll let you know more as soon as I do. :)

Now back to the reality of mopping the kitchen floor.

Beautiful Heart

You can tell she has a "Beautiful Heart" because it's pink. :)

And right now I hear my beautiful, pink-hearted son downstairs unloading the dishwasher while I'm up here on the computer.
And after I was just complaining about them not putting things in it yesterday.
Now I feel bad. :( But also good. :)

I plan on finally spending the day by the pool at my mom's. It's June 24 and I haven't done that yet!
Used to be we did that everyday in the summer. (of course in the summer. it would be odd if we spent the day by the pool in the winter.)
And, uh-oh, June 24!
Happy Birthday, Dale-y Peach!

A little something

I'm finding it hard to get anything done (art-wise) just lately.

I thought it would get better after the party. But not so much. :(

I always have good intentions. I head towards my "studio", and then I see some dog hair on the floor that needs a-vacuumin'.
Or dishes that the kids didn't put in the dishwasher (even though I asked them like a million times).
Or a dog that needs walked.
Or that we have absolutely no food in the "treat drawer".

So in an effort to get something, (ANYTHING!), accomplished, I sat down and made a few more of these.
Just like my Ripple Card, they are aceo- sized prints, mounted on paper, mounted on more paper, mounted on cardboard from my recycling pile.
I have a few more on my desk to put together. Hopefully a few more for the Ripple Blog and a few for my shop.
They are inexpensive and fun.
Happy Wednesday to you all.
I've got a dog to walk.

Hangin' with the Princess

Just finished this painting up for one of my very best customers (and her little princess).
I hope she likes it and it can join some of my others in this picture-perfect princess room.

If she doesn't like it I'll let you know. :)

And speaking of princesses, I ended up giving my dad "Daddy's Little Princess" for father's day.
I know, it's kinda odd giving you dad a painting with pink-striped sides. But I think he liked it.
Wonder where he'll hang it. :)

Hope all the other dad's had a wonderful Father's Day.
Mike's got off to a bit of a bad start when Ruca left us a present on the dining room floor.
But he got over it quickly and went on to enjoy his day.
The End.

My Ripple Card

I have just been sickened, as I know you all are, by all of the images of oil spilling into our beautiful oceans.
That's why I was eager to help when I found "Ripple".
Artists can offer ACEO-sized art that can be purchased for a $10 donation.
At the time of this post they were on #574.
Every penny will be donated to help the animal victims of the oil spill.

Since my offering was only a print and not an original I felt I should pretty it up a bit.
I mounted it on a 4x6 cardboard backing with layers of pretty paper.
I'm packing it up now and sending it off to Vicki.
Thanks, Vicki.

The Ripple Blog explains how you can donate and purchase art.
Artists can email Kelly Light @ ripplesketches.verizon.net to donate their art cards.
And don't forgot to thank her while you're there. :)

Spread the word!

This is pretty old and kinda blurry.
But it is paisley!

My Lucky Star(fish)

I've found the perfect words...

...and she's residing in my shop.

IF - Ripple

Aaron's party is over. Eli's wisdom teeth are out. And now I can breathe a sigh of relief and thank "My Lucky Star(fish)" that we survived it all.

This will be in my shop just as soon as I decide if it's finished or not. :)

Once in a lullaby...

This is a gift for a friend, but I'll make prints available tomorrow.
I'm off to see the wizard myself right now. (By wizard I mean my bed.)
Good night. :)

Just pictures. No paintings.

Been busy working on the GINORMOUS photo collage for Aaron's party.
Need to head out now and get 2 more packs of photo corners. 250 in a box. I already used a whole box. Plus some double sided tape.
And to think, I have to do this again next year! :)
I still need to print these ones of Aaron and his new little family.

IF - Trail

It's Aaron's graduation day!
So, yeah, another old one. But a good one, I think. :)

Left the face. Added the words.

This one already seems to be her daddy's little princess. :)

However, she didn't even like her bedazzled collar. I don't think she'd take to kindly to a crown.

Daddy's Little Princess

Managed to sneak in one Father's Day painting.
It took me all morning. I'm still in my jammies. I may or may not have brushed my teeth yet. I can't remember. From the feel of them, I'd say no.

I was thinking I might redo the princess's face, but my facebook advisors seem to like it, okay. :)
I was also considering adding the words "Daddy's Little Girl", but that will mean putting off the teeth brushing for a bit longer. I'll let you know what I decide. :)

There's a new baby at our house.

Aaron and Taylor came home with this little sweetie on Sunday. No they didn't ask. I'm thinking they knew what the answer would be if they asked.
Aaron paid for her and she was supposed to live at Taylor's house. But Taylor's parents are stronger than us, I guess, and were able to say no to that little face.
So she's here for now, until Taylor finds an apartment.
We should be mad, I know.
But she's deaf and they were taken in by the "we'll probably have to end up putting her down."
So how can we be mad at them for having nice big hearts?
Training her will be a challenge, and Penny has not warmed up to her quite yet.
I'll keep you updated and post lots of pictures.
I promise.
Her name is Ruca and we love her already.
