I don't think so. I'm talking about my 2011 Calendar.
I always have big plans for creating original artwork specifically for a calendar each year.
But it ain't happened yet, so I just went ahead and matched up some of my favorite 2010 paintings with some inspiring quotes that I found online. That's the part that took so long...trying to find the best quote to fit each image. But I finally settled on some good ones, I think.
Hope you like it. :)
Plus, when 2011 is all said and done, you can cut it up and use it for parts. :)
Lots and little going on around here as usual.
Mike is still busy with all of the duties associated with being the President of Eli's hockey team. At least the big golf-outing fundraiser is over and he can stop worrying about that. Now it's time to worry about whether
The Ice Garden will be ready for our home opener.
Eli is getting to paint the center ice logo for his senior project. It's The Mon Valley Thunder logo (not the Rams), but still. He may get to paint the Rams one also if time permits.
And speaking of hockey, first Pens game tomorrow night! Home-opener at the new Consol Energy Center!
Yesterday they unveiled the
The Mario Mosaic.
This picture of Eli and all of the Halinka girls is in there somewhere. How cool is that?

You can actually do a name search to find your photo within the mosaic.
Why on earth did we not submit a Duda photo? Talk about your missed opportunities!
Let's see...what else?
Aaron's been busy with band stuff and with the classes he's taking at CCAC. He's also looking for a new job...but not very hard. :)
Josh is adjusting well to high school I think. Better in some subjects than others.
His art teacher even commented that he thinks Josh is better than he (himself) is.
Josh was pleased to hear this and I think Eli was even proud of his little brother (although he'd never say so.) :)
Eli has been busy with art-related projects, as well. In addition to the center ice logo he has been working (during and after school) on his school mural. Art IV students get a section of the wall in the high school each year to paint on. I've never seen him so excited about a school project before. :)
His is a painting of him stepping onto the ice in his Ram uniform, of course.
I'll share pictures when it's complete.

Had a bit of a scare last night after my nephew fell out of his tree stand while bow hunting.
We were all sitting around at my mom's after dinner and he came in barely able to tell us what happened.
He was down over the hill on the farm. It was raining which must have made for a slippery stand. He slipped off and fell, probably 10 - 12 feet my dad says. He was alone and had to walk all the way up to the house in big pain.
My dad took him to the hospital. They think he fractured his wrist, but his pelvic bone seems to be in tact even though that is where most of his pain is. Waiting to hear the official word on his wrist this morning.
In fact I'm going to go call my sister right now.
This was getting too long anyway. :)
