A Nice Cup of Tea

"There is no trouble so great or grave that cannot be diminished by a nice cup of tea."
~Bernard-Paul Heroux

I think I can safely say this is my last painting of 2010.
We are heading down to Pittsburgh for The Winter Classic Pep Rally.
I will probably need a giant cup of tea when we get home.
I will probably add this to much shop this evening. No time now.
Especially since I have to figure out my new camera and all.
(Yay!  New camera!)
And did I mention that we will be stopping on the way home to buy a new t.v. to watch the above-mentioned Winter Classic on.
GO PENS!!!

IF - Mail

Since I have nothing else prepared, I thought this would be a good time to share this lovely email I received the other day.

Well hello, Di!

Under seperate email, I have forwarded to you my finished rug, which was hooked with all over-dyed wool.  I must say, your artwork came out amazing!

I hooked this rug for my dearest friend who has had a difficult life these past 15 years and when I saw it on your website, I knew I had to hook it for her.  I gave it to her just yesterday and know that the written words and the love that made it will help her through her difficult times.  Many thanks for giving me the privilege, once again, to turn your artwork into a rug.

Blessings to you for your kindness.  It is most appreciated!

Happy Holidays to you and your family.

Karen Miranda

Here's the original artwork that she worked from.  Didn't she do a beautiful job.
Thanks for sharing, Karen!

Shopping day!

I'm planning on heading out and having myself a productive shopping day today.
Maybe even, dare I say it?, finish up.
What?
Anyway, I've been over at Zazzle and see that today is last day to order via Standard shipping and still have a guaranteed Christmas delivery.
Also discovered that they have necklaces now too, so I added a few to the mix.
I think I added about 5 or 6.
Maybe you'll see one you like.
Have a great Thursday, everyone!

How's it going?

"Red Clutch"

Hi all!
Just stopping in to show a little colored pencil drawing I did the other night in my comfy chair.
Don't really have any plans for her as of yet. Just hadn't used my pencils in awhile.
Things are progressing nicely as far as Christmas goes.
The shop is busy, but not too busy.
Almost done shopping for the boys and cousins.
Just have to finish up all the adults on our list.
The tree is finally up and fully decorated.
So, that's not TOO bad, I'd say.

I wanted to let you know that if anyone has some last minute items to get, I have a new coupon code you can use in the shop.
Use PRIORITY10 to get 10% of everything in the shop. Plus everything will ship via priority mail at no extra cost to you.
Hurry! Last from now until 12/19 at 11:59pm EST

MERRY, MERRY!!!!

Today's Illustration Friday prompt is phenomenon
I found this definition:

We all know one.

Ornaments in an hour.

Yeesh!
Seems like I've been working on these forever!
And this is all I have to offer.
Well, there were 5 more that were already claimed, but still.
I'm going to start listing them at 10 AM est.  - that's a bit less than an hour from now.
So if you want one you shouldn't hesitate.  I doubt I'll get any more listed before Christmas.
Not cause I don't want to, I am just really behind.
I have yet to start decorating and we've made only a VERY small dent in the shopping.
I won't list all that's on my to-do list as I'm sure you all have similar lists for December.
Plus the listing makes me feel like Prince Humperdinck .
You know,  "I've got my country's 500th anniversary to plan, my wedding to arrange, my wife to murder and Guilder to frame for it;  I'm swamped."

Well, it's better to busy than not busy.
So gotta run! Have a great day. :)
