Mosaic Monday - 1/31/11

Since it's Mosaic Monday and also the last day of the month, I thought it would be nice for my mosaic to feature all of my creations for this month.  Many are still available in my etsy shop.

These two haven't even been listed yet.
They are cardboard collages.  Yep, I'm into cardboard lately.

I printed out two of my little sketchy sketches, colored them and then collaged them onto cardboard.

They have vintage text flowers and stars and the flowers have little copper colored brads as their centers.

We had a fab time at Senior Night.  The game was one of those with a lot of fighting and penalties, but the Rams came out on top in the end.

Things didn't go quite so well for Flyght. :(

Much of the weekend was spent looking for a piece of furniture to store our food in for our ever-changing kitchen.

We saw this at the unpainted furniture store.

Not really what we went out looking for , but we still might get it.

We miss having to have a place to sit in there.

We went to a few antique stores and saw some old wardrobes that we could convert, but nothing seemed absolutely perfect.

We are thinking that we may just build a cabinet with some of my Christmas shutters.

We'll let you know what we come up with. :)

WIP Wednesday

Well, that's what I planned on calling this post, anyway.

Turns out I went ahead and finished up my"work in progress".

So I guess, at least for this week, it will be What I Made Wednesday.

So, tomorrow is a big day in the Duda world.

It's Eli's high school senior night for ice hockey.

You only get one of those.

So, of course, we all plan on attending that...

parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, cousins.

Then we get word that the judges have picked Flyght as one of the 20 bands to compete in the X Winter Rock Showcase on the same day. 

Now we are feeling really bad about not being able to be in both places at once.

So if anyone is in the Pittsburgh area and can take our places in support of Aaron and the band tomorrow we'd be forever grateful.

Hopefully they will make it on to the finals and we can all be there to cheer them on.

A little bit of art

I finally found some time over the last few days to paint a couple of little "valentines".

I just now finished this guy up and I'll be adding him to my shop when I'm done here.

The other is called "Young Love".

It sold before I had a chance to write about it here, but there are prints available if you find it irresistible. ;)

Oh, and I also made some Valentine cards out of them. You can find those in my Zazzle shop.

That's it.  Not so much...but something, at least.

Otherwise, we've been busy rearranging stuff around the house.

That new t.v. forced us to move everything around and we're still trying to find "homes" for all of our stuff.  I hope to get things organized enough to take some photos soon.
