New since last time

Well, I'll start with a pretty picture, I guess.

It's a new painting called "Hug".

I spent pretty much all day yesterday on it.

It shouldn't have taken quite so long, but I was watching 

"Downton Abbey" on my computer as I worked.

Only two episodes left for me to watch.

Then what am I going to do?!?

Paint faster, I guess.

Anyway, "Hug" is here if you want to have a closer look.

Good news on the dryer front.

My sister just happened to have a perfectly good one in her basement that 

she could not use.

The day was saved, and by the day I mean our bank account.

Let's see what else since my last post.

1) Josh and Jess went to a Valentine's Dance.

2) Aaron had a great show at The Altar Bar.

He sounded better than I've ever heard him and

he seemed so comfortable up there...like he's getting used to being up

there without full band.

Wish I'd have remembered my camera. :(

He's heading to New York next month to audition for The Voice.

3) As I was getting ready to head out and pick Josh up from guitar practice last night

I noticed that Ruca looked a little blue.

Not sure how well you can see it here, but her whole mouth

was blue along with her feet and several areas of our living room

and dining room area rugs. 

It seems that she and Cookie are in cahoots.

Cookie knocks things off of tables, dressers, etc.

And then Ruca chews 'em up.

This time it was a blue ink cartridge that I had taken out of the printer

but had not yet put in the recycling.

So, my fault, I guess.

4) I painted my kitchen cabinets (the lower ones, anyway) gray to match

my new dresser-turned-island.

Next up:  stripping' the wallpaper!
