Peace Within

Yay!  Finally a new painting.
On canvas and everything!

Entitled "Peace Within"
and in my Etsy shop now.
Sorry, sold.
Prints soon though.

She is second in my Virtues series.
Remember.  She goes with this one.

I think the next one will be green and nature inspired.
Be alert!

Stampingbella and Society6

So if you don't follow on me on Facebook, (first off, why don't you
follow me on Facebook) then you probably haven't heard the good news.
I'm back in the rubber stamp business!
Yay!
I am the newest artist over at Stamping Bella and my first 4 stamps will be
released later this week.  Friday if not sooner is the word I'm hearing.

You can read all about it over at the Blogabella blog and see the other two images Emily was a great help (in fact, she did most of the work) in getting them perfected and ready launch in just a few short weeks.

And if that weren't enough, I went ahead and opened me a Society6 shop.
I don't have all that many images there yet, but I'm working on it.
I did it so that people who want larger print options will have a place to go.
They also offer a framed print option and also canvas prints.

I've even added some of the square images to throw pillows!

This will take you directly to my Society6 shop.

I promise to add more soon.
But, see, I'm busy!
I've owed my Aunt an email for over a month now.
I didn't forget you!  HOpe you are well and I'll be writing back soon. :)

Hello Monday!

Hello, Monday.
What is up?
I had expected more from you by this time.
But here I am, still at my desk.

Sure I finished this little painting up.
And listed it and sold it.
But it took me all morning to do that and print and pack
all of my orders.
I thought I'd have the house red up and be knee-deep in one of the
many projects on my to-do list by now.

But no. It's noon and here I am.
But I'm signing off for the day.
My $7 print is listed and I'm off to see the world!
(or at least make the beds)

HOpe you've made more progress than me.
See you tomorrow.

A Childhood Shared

"A sister is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost."
~Marion C. Garretty

"A sister shares childhood memories and grown-up dreams."
 ~Author Unknown

"It was nice growing up with someone like you -
someone to lean on, someone to count on... someone to tell on!"
  ~Author Unknown

There are lots of good sister quotes out there.
But in the end, I just let the painting do the talking.

(p.s. I love my sister) :)

Simply Beautiful Life

This is what's been keeping me busy for the last few days.
It's already spoken for, but now
it's done and I can move on to something new
that I can offer up to everyone.

Have a simply beautiful day!

Also, Josie McQueen will be playing at The Hub
at Penn State main campus tomorrow at noon.
If you are there celebrating founders day
stop in and say hi to Aaron, Jesse and Jon.

You can get your free

I prefer them in top to bottom order. :)

And Happy Birthday to my Dad!

My Artist page

I am making an effort to steer people away from my personal
Facebook page and over
to my Artist Facebook Page.

Not because I don't want to be your "close, personal
friend", but because I don't want my family, my neighbors,
my high school classmates, and my kids' friends
to get annoyed with me for posting
artwork all the time and links to my listings.
You can imagine that my 20-some year old nephews or Aaron's
bandmates might not want to know that I  just listed a pretty little princess painting.
Not that they've said anything, but well, I can only assume.

So if you want to be informed about new originals, $7
print sales, and any new licensed products,
please head on over to FB
and like my Artist page.

That's one of the first places I post when I list something new
and your best chance for grabbing an original.

And speaking of $7 prints, here is today's.

And here is another print that I listed over the weekend.

Thanks so much!
Enjoy your day.

Saying Goodbye

Heading to Ohio for the day
to say goodbye to my
Uncle Rich who passed away
on Valentine's Day.

Not a great year so far.

No new art...

Nothing new to show,
but "Forward" is the $7 print for today.

Just in case you were wondering.

Forward

is in my etsy shop.

I almost didn't add the little "new day" sun
or the "forward" arrow.
I was liking the simpleness of it, but I like the message
it sends now even more.
You know:
Everyday is an adventure.
Move forward into the unknown.
See each day as full of possibilities and as another chance to get things right.
(said the girl sitting at her desk in her robe at 12:55)

Whatever.  I still accomplished stuff. :)

Here she is in front of our bus stop sign.
Want to hear the story of the bus stop sign?
Okay.  Here it is.
When the kids were in grade school I would walk them over to the bus stop
every morning.
So got to sit there and wait with all of the other kids (and a few moms).
I don't recall what the exact situation was but I overheard one
of the girls there say this:
"I'm not stupid.  I know who owns the bus stop!"
Which by the way, she didn't.
She thought it was the principal.
She thought Mr. Hamilton owned the bus stop.

So that phrase stuck in our house.
We've all said it on occasion and then, of course, had to explain
it to those present that hadn't already heard the bus stop story.

Anyway, Eli's girlfriend, Taylor, gifted us with this last Christmas.
Now we own the bus stop.
And now everyone knows it.

Thanks Taylor
You always give the best gifts!

Happy Place

This is yesterday's painting, "Happy Place".
I wish I was in a happy place right now.
Gah!
Switched our internet to Verizon yesterday and now
I can't get my outgoing email to work.
I've been at it all day.

I've done everything just the way they say.
Must give up for now.
I can send and receive email via the
Verizon online website.
So it could be worse.
If you are trying to reach me you can use this email for now:
mduda9@verizon.net
(that may change later)

Well, since the original "Happy Place" sold
rather instantly
you can get a print here.
$7 today
$10 thereafter.

Have a happy day!

You make me smile with my heart

My funny valentine
Sweet comic valentine
You make me smile with my heart
Your looks are laughable
Unphotographable
Yet you're my favourite work of art

Is your figure less than greek
Is your mouth a little weak
When you open it to speak
Are you smart?

But don't change a hair for me
Not if you care for me
Stay little valentine stay
Each day is valentines day

It's sweet, it's little, it's in my Etsy shop.

Also, today's $7 print is "Chill"

How 'bout this?

So, whenever I think
"I should have a print sale in my shop"
the next thought I have is
"Yeah, but what about the people who just paid full
price yesterday"
That doesn't seem fair.

So here's what I came up with.
On the day I list a new print they will be offered at
a discounted price...
I'm thinking $7.
The next day (once I'm out of bed and moving around)
they will go to the regular price of $10
(which I still think is a pretty good price)

That way I won't feel guilty about someone paying full
price the day before.
Yes.  I'll do that.

So I am going over to list these two right now.
Buy them both today and save $6.

Happy Monday everyone!
